Anxiety in teens is rising due to a mix of factors, including academic/social pressures, global crises (pandemic, climate change, economy), and the influence of social media, leading to increased rates of clinically significant anxiety symptoms that often become chronic and debilitating, affecting not just the life of the teen, but their entire family.
Zen Ki Yoga is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and has specific techniques to immediately combat anxiety, no matter how mild or strong the anxiety experience may be.
This training is for ANYONE who wants to help their children with anxiety and especially for yoga teachers and other body workers who want to help teens with this rising crisis.
We will cover specific yoga poses, the 'anxiety body-map' for a deeper understanding of this disorder, correct breathing techniques and how diet relates contributes to our emotional and psychological well-being.
This workshop is non-confrontational!! You won't have to bare your soul, nor share experiences. You will simply learn the tools to change the lives of those who suffer anxiety.
Where/how: Zoom sessions (will be recorded and available for 30 days for each session. Live participation is preferred, but if you can't make it, you can still be qualified).
When: Tuesdays, 5.30 - 7.30 pm - 4 Tuesdays (17 & 24 February + 3 & 10 March) + online tutorial poses as homework for each week (total hours = 14 hours/14 CPDs)
